Born and raised in rural Ontario, Isabel spent most of her time in the woods, on farms, and in the garden, engaging her curiosity and creativity. She started studying music and dance at a very young age, igniting her passion for the arts. Isabel pursued studies at Haliburton School of Art and Design, completing the Integrated Design and Ceramics programs. Post-graduating and apprenticing under potters Lisa Barry&Matt Mihlik, Isabel has focused her work into functional and sculptural ceramics. She explores connection to her childhood whimsy and the natural world, including vibrant colours, textures, and various firing techniques. Isabel has settled in the beautiful Haliburton Highlands where she creates in harmony with the environment around her.
