Sylvia & Wayne Rose
Studio Rose
Studio "I"
Sylvia has created art from an early age, first with fabric and wool and later with ceramics. Workshops and courses led her to explore jewellery making, painting, weaving, and printmaking. For several years she shared these skill with her students at The Haliburton School or Art and Design childrens’ programs. Her degree from York University had a strong focus on the arts and fuelled her love of creating. Working with clay has been a love during the past thirty years and producing new designs is a passion of hers.

Wayne has been a practicing artist for sixty years. He has been fortunate to participate in the study and the honing of his skills in drawing, painting, jewellery, engraving, lithography, stone carving, metal sculpture and almost every form of pottery, specializing in Raku since 1972. He received his training at the Ontario College of Art and Design, University of Guelph and a Masters Degree from the University of Buffalo.
