David Geene
Guest at Studio "C"
Living in Peterborough and having lived in a number of other smaller towns in Ontario, David has long been surrounded by the inspiration of historical and contemporary architectural forms. Abstracted urban landscapes might be the best description of his current work. His work is vibrantly colourful, often incorporating some distortion and deconstruction, use of other media, collage elements, poetry, scripts, and wherever else the medium or the subject might lead him. He finds making the work a way to highlight and see differently things not usually noticed. He looks forward to sharing his work at his daughter’s pottery studio on the shores of beautiful Lake Kashagawigamog.
